"I have driven by the Sunrise Cafe 100 times but never went in because a wasn't excited by the curb appeal. But, you know what they say: "never judge a book by its cover..." and I am so glad I came in today because WOW did I find a hidden gem. My waitress, Brittany, was an absolute joy! The food was fantastic... it wasn't greasy... on the contrary, everything was fresh (the berries were perfect and the corned beef hash is "world famous" for a reason). Special requests: no problem. I will absolutely be back here and looking for Brittany again (although I presume all the staff are great)! Glad to say that I just found my new favorite breakfast spot in Freeport, Maine!"

"Solid breakfast served quickly and with a smile. It's mostly locals in the early morning - lot fills with pickup trucks. Then a steady flow of tourists, locals and shoppers (LL Bean is just down the street). Food was cooked precisely and was delicious. Not many frills, but it's clean and priced competitively. Very happy every visit."

"I ate here almost every day I was in the area. I was sat as soon as I walked in every time. By day 3 they knew to bring me coffee and water. My coffee cup stayed full. They have PLANT BASED sausage! I tried most things on the menu but the California omelet was my favorite! If I am ever in the area again I will 100% eat here with no questions asked! Service was fast. Food was fast. & both were excellent!"

"This probably isn't going to be a fair review because I'm comparing them to a much better place down the road. I stopped in here because the Freeport Cafe was lined up out the door, and there's a reason for that. The food here was OK, but the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. It wasn't as tasty either, or as filling. I don't usually care about the decor, but the Freeport Cafe blows them away here too, also nice views of the marsh and surroundings. I'm glad I tried something different, but I should have waited for a seat at the Freeport Cafe instead. All that being said, if I were to between here and McDonald's, I would choose here."

"Went for breakfast and was not disappointed. Service was prompt, coffee was fresh, Server was lovely, and the food was delicious. You can tell a lot of care was given in the preparation. The cinnamon toast is not something to miss! We have found our new breakfast spot!!!"
